This Privacy Policy explains how Exploris AI ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website scanning and website generation platform (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect from you

• Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We never see or store your Google password.
• Usage records. We record the scans, website generations, and other actions you perform, along with your plan and remaining credits, so we can enforce plan limits and show you your usage history.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers — we store only a Stripe customer reference, your plan, and your subscription status.
• Device identifier. Before you sign in, we store a random identifier in your browser (localStorage) to track the free trial allowance. It is not linked to your identity until you create an account.
• Cookies. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

2. Business listing data

The Service surfaces publicly available business information (name, address, phone number, website status, ratings, review excerpts, photos, and opening hours) sourced from Google's Places API — the same information anyone can see on Google Search or Google Maps. We use this data to:

• show you scan results and opportunity scores;
• generate website previews on your instruction; and
• store leads you explicitly save to your dashboard.

3. How we use your information

• To provide the Service: running scans, generating website previews, managing leads, proposals, and client portals.
• To bill you and manage your subscription or credit purchases.
• To send emails you explicitly trigger (for example, sending a website preview or proposal to a business owner).
• To secure the platform, enforce rate limits, and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Third-party services we rely on

5. Data retention

We keep your account data, leads, projects, and usage history while your account is active. Cached business search results are retained for up to 30 days to reduce repeated lookups. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal information and stored leads, retaining only what we are legally required to keep (such as billing records).

6. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS, session cookies are protected, and access to production data is restricted. Signed agreements and uploaded verification documents are stored in private storage that is not publicly accessible. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we take reasonable technical measures to protect your data.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the Australian Privacy Act, GDPR, or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Children

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be flagged on this page with an updated "last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
